C'Mon, TBO, Aren't You A Little Too Paranoid?

Yeah, you'd think...But then again, is it really paranoia when you have reason to be?

Glenn Greenwald agrees with me. The (real) journalists at Frontline seem to be on my side too:

I know I'll be watching...

I sometimes think you are too paranoid, but only in this sense: I have little fear for myself. I have, however, grave fears for my country.

Frontline is a great series, BTW.

JJ, wouldn't that be pretty much one and the same?

Macro/Micro, donchaknow...

Nope, it's not. Kind of like I can believe kids aren't well-served by the education system, while I know I won't allow Liv's education to come up short.

It's a problem that the gubment is spying. A BIG one. But I don't personally much fear it.

It doesn't make me more or less likely to rage against it. Sad fact is, I'm not particularly politically active these days, because my local is, well, overwhelming all on its own.

I mean, shit, I've got issues with the elimination of estate taxes, but it doesn't affect me in the micro. Yes, I recognize that it affects me on the macro, but that doesn't stop me from differentiating.

That's why micro and macro have different names, yes? Because they are different?

This is where the main difference lay between us...and I guess we're just gonna have to disagree on this principle. I don't blame or judge; frankly, I don't have your pressures to deal with...

so...yeah.

I figure it's either because you are up to no good and are afraid of getting caught, or just that you want the terrorists to win.

Why DO you love Osama so?

You talk as if those are mutually exclusive concepts...

Why DO you love Osama so?

Look, he's a charming man, and despite the fact that I think he's a little inexperienced, he is the first black presidential candidate with a real chance at winning...

What?

As I wrote that, I was trying to remember which Republican operative first made that connection. Any ideas? It fell down my memory hole and I'm late for an important tea party or I'd look it up.

It wasn't a candidate, per se, but initially commented on by FOX News, if I'm not mistaken.
