Mercury, You Inglorious Bastard!

Obviously, I have my problems with that bastard planet Mercury, a planet that seeming has nothing better to do than to go into retrograde 3-4 times a year. Needless to say, this is quite bothersome.

So, if my communications become ornery or sporadic or stressed, you'll know why. I've been feeling the precursors for the past few days, which means I should be done with it well before March 25th, when it is supposed to end.

Good luck to all, surviving what can be a rather hectic, frustrating and a general bitch of a time.

I hear you, dude. Mercury's my ruling planet, after all. Maybe that's why the hound has been so barking mad this week . . .

so...you guys blame your male PMS on the planets? I gotta try that sometime.

I don't know if I "buy" astrology, but its tenets seem no more unlikely than any other theory, scientific or theological, about why we are as we are. And if you look at us, Jose is something of a textbook Libra, and I'm definitely a textbook Gemini.

this ain't about no male PMS, lady! but the existence of male PMS would be a dandy future topic.

No, Mercury/Retrograde is a known occurrence that I too disdained, until I increasingly noticed this activity when coupled with some of the most damningly frustrating times in my life.

For example, this last week, I've had to have my car jumped, next day a tire was flat and I had no spare, next day work troubles, and last night, a heavy and deep argument with a co-worker + a set of minutes that took a week to prepare simply disappeared from my computer, making me stay until around 8:30p in order to replace it.

I don't buy astrology, per se, but can't exactly dismiss it empyrically.

I'm always thrown way off by the waning of upier's moons.

Oh, and, of course, the waxing of Uranas.

Dude...waxing Uranus always puts me in a foul mood.

Uhhhhh...hu-huh...

He said "doing".

Apparently, Mercury renders those under its influence unable to blogpost.

Took us centuries to figure it out. Shame, really.

Little known fact, Mercury was the god of writer's block.

Just posting to see if I could still comment. Thought maybe your blog was broken.

Yeah. It's broken.

Fuck, Rob, I keep trying to call that number and I just get the "bwoo-ooo-eeep" sound.

At 1:50 AM, Blogger rob said...

You mean the sound that is heard universally when Jose speaks?

Yeah...that's common.

Keep trying.

Dear Step-n-Fetchit, or, Stubbornly Skeptical:

I've nothing to get over, and my observations about Mercury/Retrograde were arrived at after years and years of gathering evidence. Believe it or not, I too was skeptical about it at one point.

Something I love about the "rational" is how they believe that anyone who talks about this sort of thing is not being rational. As some hack once wrote: There are more things in heaven and earth than are dream't of in your philosophy.

Probably the most rational thing ever writ.

Anyhoos, the lapse in posts has nothing to do with M/R. Frankly, my blog-juice has been spent working on the other blog OR I've been pretty busy at work (where I do the most blogging) and haven't had time.

I haven't abandoned anything, things will get back to normal, and thanks for egging me on.

Yeah...we know.

We just miss you, is all...

...and your tender, loving touch...

...and your vagina.

Word Verification: NAMBLA.

That just says it all, doesn't it?
